Three Atlanta Attractions for Families

Atlanta attracts families from all over the South thanks to great attractions, dining and plenty of budget-friendly Atlanta hotels. Here are four attractions to visit with the kids when you travel to Atlanta:

Six Flags over Georgia
For decades, Six Flags has thrilled residents of Atlanta and visitors to this vibrant city. Famous for exciting roller coasters, Six Flags features carnival-style amusement rides and thrill rides as well as shows and attractions for younger children. Their Thrill Swap program allows adults to ride the big coasters even if they have little ones who are too small to ride along.

Zoo Atlanta
Zoo Atlanta is one of the oldest urban zoos in the United States. Open every day but Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, this zoo is a perfect all-day activity for families. Consider purchasing a family pass if you’re visiting with a group or more than once during your vacation. With several Atlanta hotels nearby, it’s easy to visit if you’re coming from out of town.

Stone Mountain Park
Stone Mountain Park is a surprising oasis for adventure just outside of downtown Atlanta. The huge granite “mountain” attracts hikers and families. Visit at night to see the spectacular laser and fireworks show in the fall or check to see what local events and festivities will be going on at the park.
