Baltimore Hotels—It’s the Crab

Baltimore Hotels—It’s the Crab

If the first thing that comes to mind when you think about the city of Baltimore is the Orioles, there are two possibilities: you’ve either never been to Baltimore, or you watch too much baseball. Either case might be perfect cause to visit what locals have dubbed “The Greatest City in America,” a nickname frequent visitors don’t seem to have any problem with.

Baltimore could also be one of the few cities in the United States whose alternate nickname inspires near instantaneous hunger: “Crab Cake Capital of the World.” But don’t think this is just a cheap ploy to drive your taste buds to make your vacation decisions for you. Seated just off the Patapsco River, Baltimore is perfectly situated to take advantage of some of the tastiest crustaceans in the entire Chesapeake Bay.

There are a vast number of Baltimore hotels that you can set up base camp in on your search for the best crab you’ve ever had, but vacationer beware—one taste might ruin you on imported grocery store crab for the rest of your life. If you’re particularly susceptible to taking vacations just for meals, you might end up spending an awful lot of time and money in Baltimore.
